About the Product
SSP Asafoetida Powder has a strong flavour and aroma. It is extracted in the form of milk from the plant. The extraction is similar to the rubber extraction process. It is derived from a species of giant fennel and it has a unique flavour and smell. It is called for often in Indian cooking, mainly with legumes and dishes featuring vegetables such as cauliflower. The odour may strike you as overpowering and somewhat unpleasant, but in cooking it mellows out and produces a savour similar to garlic and onion.
Ingredients
Edible Gum, Wheat Flour, Asafoetida.
How to Use
A pinch of it can be fried in hot oil before the rest of the ingredients are cooked.
